In June of 2021 took a road trip for the day in the Dirtbag Ute to explore the Brighton Provincial Wildlife Area east of Trenton.
East Summit
After parking the Dirtbag Ute in the parking lot geared up and headed out. First goal was the previously bagged East Summit because why not get that one again. After a bit of grunt work got the East Summit for the second time.
And after the usual summit toast descended the backside to begin the trip to the West Summit. Of course passing the swamp on the left had to get a bike photo of as Mint Sauce would call ice cream skies.
Further along got the wheels wet with a surprise water fording.
After more riding got to the area I roughly suspected was near the high point before checking via the Peakbagger app. And was near but it would require a bit of creative effort now.
West Summit
Because based on the Peakbagger info the West Summit wasn't near the ATV track. It still required some hike type effort to get it. So time for bike on back to get there. It should be noted that this is why Sunstance Projects would never want me to be a course setter.
After carrying the bike up got to a farmers fence which meant was the edge of the wildlife area. And this was the rough West Summit. I wasn't going to go fence hopping to get the whole OCD level of accuracy plus don't want to hop it to find out shouldn't have in some form.
So this will be the West Summit or High Point bagged. With the usual toast of Antiguan Rum for the second of the day. It was back down to the track and begin the ride back to the Dirtbag Ute.
Reversing the track back did the water ford again and headed to the sand road. Turned left on the sand road that runs parallel to the 401 to get back to the Dirtbag Ute.
Once back at the Dirtbag Ute it was time to load the bike and gear to head towards Coburg. With another new high point bagged as well as repeating a previously bagged one.
