After a day of working as race crew and with lots of daylight left headed to the Goodrich-Loomis Conservation area.
Had originally planned to truck camp the Saturday after race crew work however the Friday night had been chilly and didn't feel like another chilly night camping. Being sore and a bit tired made the plan of getting the high point had spotted on the Peakbagger site.
Took the back roads to the area near conservation area. And actually missed the conservation area parking lot as hadn't spotted the sign for it. Once re-located to the correct place. Parked and prepped to ride. Since was going to be a short ride took the Enduro Bro Posterior Waist Satchel.
Headed out from the Dirtbag Ute and back tracked a bit on Pinewood School Rd till the sandy road with the Unmaintained Road sign. Then began the slow climb up to the sort of the ridge where this high point is.
After the climb came to the farm field where the high point was on what would be the south edge. Keeping to edge of the field where one should rode to the rough location of the high point. No like said before at Bronte Creek have zero desire to deal with Spiked Alder bush.
After that climb and field skirting it was another bagged high point. Usual sip of Antiguan Rum to mark the high point bagging. Then it was back to the unmaintained road. Back at the unmaintained road headed northwards following it to see where it led for a while. However since didn't have the bike lights on me at a certain point about 3km further up turned around. And headed back to Pinewood School Rd.
Retracing my route back to the Dirtbag Ute. Once back at the parking lot did a quick loop on the not to remarkable conservation area trails for a bit of extra mileage. Due to being late in day and tired didn't ride further. Know there is more trails but will hopefully ride them on a trip when less tired and late in the day. Headed back to the Ute and loaded everything back up. Then it was heading back to Kingston.
It was a few days later that I found out there there is supposed to be a high point in the trails that is higher. But it isn't listed on the Peakbagger website which have been using for reference to my sort of peak or high point bagging. So I guess at some point will have to re-visit this trail system to get that one. At some point.
