Finish The Bloody Race

Front brake? We don't need no stinking front brake at the East Cup to finish. So of course there is a story as spotted a pic from 2013.

Back in May 2013 there was a 4 race series called the East Cup put on by the crew at Substance Projects. And the second stop was in Cornwall. So about the 25% of the race done point while cornering think it was my rear wheel slipped and sent me into a tree. No injuries except the front brake lever which as can see in the photo was now inoperable.

While others have observed over the years to frequently at races things go wrong and racers throw in the towel. I learned from the tri world to "Finish the dammed race." So raced 85% of course with no front brake. Missed out on 3rd...ironically by about the same amount of time checking the front brake...maybe 5 seconds.

While sucked to not place still finished and did not DNF.
